Creative Urban Projects After-School Program Uses Art and Design to Explore New York City

Students who are interested in creativity, problem-solving, and making a difference in their communities are invited to participate in an exciting after-school opportunity through Creative Urban Projects (CUP). This program encourages students to use art and design as tools for investigating local issues in New York City while developing creative and critical thinking skills.

Beginning on Tuesday, November 10, participants will work alongside a professional artist who will guide students through hands-on artmaking, research projects, discussions, and field trips. Through these experiences, students will explore real-world issues affecting their communities and learn how art can be used to inspire change and raise awareness.

The program provides a unique opportunity for students to express themselves creatively while gaining valuable experience in research, design, and collaborative project development. Whether students are interested in visual arts, storytelling, photography, design, or community engagement, the program offers a welcoming environment to learn new skills and connect with peers.
