October is an event packed month at LGJ as we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and provide students with opportunities to prepare for their futures through high school admissions, senior planning, and career exploration activities. Families can participate in important information sessions, while students will engage in Advisory Day and complete a Career Exploration Assessment. The month concludes with our annual Halloween Party, bringing the LGJ community together for a fun and festive celebration.

As LGJ celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and its 30th year of excellence, students and families can look forward to an exciting September filled with new opportunities and important events. Highlights include the start of the ASPIRA after-school program, MAP Testing, and Curriculum Night, where parents can experience a day in the life of an LGJ student. Together, we are beginning a historic school year focused on learning, community, and success.

LGJ families are invited to attend the annual student program distribution and school uniform sales before the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Student programs will be distributed by grade level between August 31 and September 4, with specific dates and times assigned to each grade group. Uniforms will be available for purchase throughout the week from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and families may shop on any day regardless of their student's distribution date. LGJ has announced a new schedule for the 2026–2027 school year aimed at improving student support, consistency, and enrichment opportunities. The updated plan includes earlier breakfast access, structured class times, a modified Friday schedule, and expanded ASPIRA after-school programming to support both academic success and personal growth.

LGJ ha anunciado un nuevo horario para el año escolar 2026–2027 con el objetivo de mejorar el apoyo académico, la consistencia y las oportunidades de enriquecimiento para los estudiantes. El nuevo plan incluye acceso temprano al desayuno, horarios de clases estructurados, un horario modificado los viernes y la expansión del programa extracurricular ASPIRA para apoyar el desarrollo académico y personal.

LGJ’s Fall Sports Eligibility guidelines outline the academic and attendance requirements students must meet to participate in athletics. Students must maintain strong grades, earn required credits, and have at least 90% attendance. Those who meet these expectations will be eligible to join teams such as soccer, volleyball, cross country, and bowling, reinforcing LGJ’s message that success in sports starts with success in the classroom.
