High School at LGJ: Grades 9–12

The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice offers a rigorous and empowering high school experience for students in grades 9 through 12. Our program blends academic excellence, leadership development, and real-world learning to prepare students for college, careers, and civic life.

📚 Academic Opportunities

LGJ’s high school curriculum is designed to challenge students intellectually while nurturing their passions and goals. In addition to core subjects—English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies—students have access to a wide range of electives and advanced coursework.

Core Courses: Aligned with New York State standards and college readiness benchmarks.
Electives: Students can explore specialized interests such as:
- LGJ Sports Media: A hands-on journalism and media production course
- Visual and Performing Arts
- Health & Wellness
- Law, Government, and Criminal Justice
- Technology
College & Career Prep: Opportunities include AP courses, SAT prep, internships, and partnerships with local organizations and colleges.
Student Leadership: Advisory, peer mentoring, and student-led initiatives foster agency and voice.

Academic support is available through tutoring, guidance counseling, and enrichment programs tailored to individual needs.

LGJ seniors are honored through a series of milestone events that celebrate their achievements and mark their transition to life beyond high school:

Senior Prom: A formal celebration of friendship, growth, and accomplishment.
Graduation Ceremony: A proud moment for students, families, and the LGJ community.
Senior Trips & Events: Throughout the year, seniors participate in memorable experiences that build community and celebrate their journey.

A tie of their choice
