Apply to Middle School

1. Apply through MySchools

All NYC public middle school applications are submitted through the NYC MySchools portal. Families create or log into their MySchools account and add LGJ to their list of choices.

2. Rank LGJ on Your Application

LGJ is part of District 9, and families should rank it among their preferred schools. Admissions are not screened, placement is based on the DOE’s middle school admissions process.

3. Submit the Application by the DOE Deadline

The NYC Department of Education sets the middle school application window each year (typically in the fall). Families must submit their application before the official deadline.

4. Wait for Offer Notifications

After applications close, the DOE processes placements. Families receive their middle school offer in the spring through their MySchools account.

5. Accept Your Offer

Once an offer is received, families confirm their seat through MySchools or with support from the school.
