At the Bronx School for Law, Government & Justice, our art program invites students to explore creativity as a form of expression, identity, and voice. Ninth graders begin their journey in Studio Art, where they build foundational skills while discovering the power of visual storytelling. In 11th and 12th grade, students can advance into AP Art or Photography, deepening their craft and developing portfolios that reflect both technical skill and personal vision.

 

The program is led by Ms. Moye, a dedicated educator and proud SUNY New Paltz graduate. With a passion for hip-hop culture and civil rights, she brings a unique lens to the classroom—encouraging students to see art not just as creation, but as commentary, culture, and community. Her classes blend traditional techniques with contemporary influences, giving students a space to explore who they are and what they stand for.

Art at The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice is more than an elective. It’s a platform for students to imagine boldly, think critically, and express themselves with confidence.
