The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice is excited to share important updates to both the middle school and high school schedules for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. These changes are designed to provide students with stronger academic support, meaningful enrichment opportunities, and a more consistent daily routine.
Improved Daily Start and Routine
For both middle and high school students, the school day will begin with earlier access to breakfast:
- Middle School: Doors open at 7:20 a.m.
- High School: Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
Providing breakfast before classes ensures students start their day focused and ready to learn.
Monday–Thursday Schedule
Students in both middle and high school will attend classes from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Middle school students will continue to have a set daily lunch period, while high school students will have scheduled lunch during the school day as well.

-
Middle School students can participate in the ASPIRA After-School Program, which offers:
- Academic support and homework help
- Enrichment activities
- Leadership and community-building experiences
- Social and recreational programming
- Hands-on projects
ASPIRA will run:
- Monday–Thursday after school
- Fridays from 11:50 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
-
High School students will use early Friday dismissal time to engage in:
- Internships
- Volunteer work
- Jobs and career exploration
- College readiness activities
- Extracurricular programs aligned with their interests
Looking Ahead
These schedule updates reflect LGJ’s commitment to preparing students for success both inside and outside the classroom. By combining structured academic time with real-world opportunities, the school aims to support every student’s growth, achievement, and future readiness.
Additional information about ASPIRA, internships, and other opportunities will be shared before the school year begins. LGJ looks forward to a successful and exciting 2026–2027 school year.
