Jody F. Earns Statewide Recognition After Record‑Setting Basketball Career
After a legendary basketball career at LGJ, multisport senior Jody F. has added another major honor to his résumé. This week, he was named to the New York State Sports Writers Association’s 5th All‑State Team for B Division, placing him among the top players in the state.

Senior Gabriela V., captain of the LGJ Jaguar softball team, continues to shine as one of the city’s most consistent and dangerous hitters. She is currently ranked #1 in New York City in total hits, a testament to her discipline, power, and leadership at the plate.
Melianys B. Chasing the Home Run Record—Again
Senior Melianys B., also a star on the Jaguar softball team, is on the verge of breaking her own home run record from last season. She is currently tied for the all‑time LGJ home run record and sits one swing away from setting a new mark.
Melianys also leads the city in RBIs, making her one of the most feared hitters in the league. With the team playoff‑bound and fighting for a division title on Tuesday, May 5th, the excitement continues to build.
