LGJ Career Day Inspires Students to Explore Their Future Paths

The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice proudly hosted its Career Day on May 29, 2026, welcoming a strong group of LGJ alumni back into the building for a day filled with inspiration, insight, and meaningful connections. Held both in person and through Zoom sessions, the event proved to be a major success as students gained a firsthand look at where life after LGJ can lead.

Organized by Mrs. Clarke as an interactive and engaging experience, Career Day gave students the opportunity to meet professionals, ask questions, and learn directly from individuals who once walked the same halls. The theme of the event, “From Classroom to Career – Learn from Those Who’ve Been There,” resonated throughout each session, as alumni shared their journeys beyond high school and the steps they took to achieve success.

Alumni Return to Lead the Way

One of the most impactful aspects of the event was the strong presence of LGJ alumni. These graduates returned not only to share their professional experiences, but to show current students what is possible with dedication and purpose. The message was clear: “Once in your shoes – now leading the way.”

Through panel discussions and Q&A sessions, alumni offered valuable advice on:

  • Career exploration
  • Skills development and preparation
  • College pathways and alternative options
  • Industry insights
  • Real-world experiences

Their stories highlighted the many different directions students can take after graduation, reinforcing the idea that success comes in many forms.

Interactive Learning and Real Conversations

Career Day emphasized student engagement, creating an environment where participants were encouraged to “Meet. Ask. Learn. Succeed.” Students took full advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with professionals, ask meaningful questions, and gain clarity about their own goals and interests.

Panels provided “real talk about real careers,” giving students honest perspectives on challenges, growth, and opportunities in various industries. Whether students are interested in law, business, public service, or other career paths, the sessions helped them better understand the steps needed to reach their goals.

A Successful and Meaningful Event

Career Day 2026 was more than just an event, it was a powerful reminder of the strength of the LGJ community. The return of alumni demonstrated the lasting impact of the school, while current students were inspired to dream bigger, ask questions, and actively build their paths forward.

As LGJ continues to create opportunities like Career Day, one message remains clear: the future starts here.
