NAACP Induction Ceremony Celebrates Leadership, Legacy, and New Beginnings at LGJ

The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice proudly hosted its NAACP High School Chapter End-of-Year Celebration and Induction Ceremony on Friday, May 29 at 4:00 PM in the school library. The event brought together students, faculty, and supporters to honor the achievements of the chapter, welcome new members, and celebrate graduating seniors as they prepare to continue their journey in college.

The ceremony was guided by the chapter’s advisors Mrs. Peterson, and Mrs. Phalo-Davis, whose leadership and support have played a key role in the organization’s growth and success.

A Full-Circle Leadership Moment

A particularly meaningful moment of the ceremony was the installation of the chapter’s new president. The organization’s founding president at LGJ, Zaire S., helped establish a legacy of leadership and activism within the school. Now, in a powerful full-circle moment, that legacy continues as his younger brother, Deon S., was elected by his peers to serve as president for the 2025–2026 school year.

He will be joined by a strong team, including:

  • Emmanuel o. Vice President
  • Aniyah B. Secretary
  • Olivia S. and Pharrel L.Treasurers

Together, this new leadership team is prepared to continue advancing the chapter’s mission of advocacy, service, and student empowerment.

As they prepare to graduate, these students leave behind a strong foundation and will continue their involvement in NAACP in college, ensuring their voices and leadership continue to be heard.
