• Civics Day with Generation Citizen Program

Civics Day was a great experience for our students.  They presented their semester long projects to groups of judges who consistently commented on how good LGJ's presentations were. At the end of the day, Assemblymen Michael Blake gave a big speech where, even given all the schools there, he gave LGJ the only personal shoutout for the amazing projects the students had done. Afterwards the kids were enthusiastic about meeting him, got pictures and exchanged contact information because he told them he wanted them to intern for him. Overall, it was a great day and experience. Thank you Ms Felder for setting up this program, it was a great success!
